Terms of use.
The plain version: be honest, do not abuse the platform, and we will treat you the same way back. The longer version is below. Last updated 27 April 2026.
An unincorporated team, operating remotely.
These terms are between you and School of Quest(the “School”, “we”, “our”), an unincorporated team operating remotely from around the world. School of Quest is not currently registered as a company. Once we incorporate, we may assign these terms to the successor entity and will give you reasonable advance notice.
By using anything we make, you agree to these terms.
These terms govern your use of schoolofquest.com, the SoQ Platform (including the API stack, LLM proxy, MCP toolchain, and developer tooling), our workshops, our consulting work, and any program or artefact we publish. They form a binding agreement between you and the School.
If you do not agree, do not use the platform or enrol in our programs. If you are using the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 to create an account on the platform. Minors aged 13 to 18 may participate in our programs only with documented consent from a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
Accounts
You are responsible for the credentials, API keys, and access tokens issued to you. Treat them as you would a physical key. Notify us within 24 hours of any suspected compromise. We reserve the right to rotate keys, throttle traffic, or suspend access where we observe behaviour we cannot reconcile with these terms.
What you may not do with our platform.
You agree not to use any School of Quest service to:
- generate, distribute, or promote material that is illegal in your jurisdiction
- build systems that target minors with manipulative content, dark patterns, or unsolicited contact
- circumvent rate limits, scrape responses to retrain a competing model, or resell raw API output as your own model output
- generate non-consensual intimate imagery, CSAM, real-person impersonation, or content designed to defame
- build weapons, malware, large-scale phishing infrastructure, or autonomous systems with the capacity to cause physical harm
- attempt to extract our system prompts, harness instructions, or other privileged context through prompt injection or otherwise
We reserve the right to suspend access on suspicion of any of the above, while we investigate. We will tell you in writing what we observed, and give you a reasonable chance to respond before any termination.
How engagements are billed, when we refund.
The platform and our programs are offered as enterprise engagements. Each engagement is set out in an individual statement of work or order form, which contains the agreed scope, term, fees, taxes, and payment schedule. The statement of work, together with these terms, forms the contract between us. Where the two conflict, the statement of work controls.
Refunds. Refund and cancellation terms for each engagement are set out in the relevant statement of work. As a default posture, we will credit a billing period in good faith if a documented platform incident materially degraded your service.
Disputes
Tell us first. Most things are misunderstandings, and we have a low ego about being wrong. Email foundersdesk@schoolofquest.com with the invoice and the issue, and we will reply within five business days.
Who owns what.
Inputs you send to the platform belong to you. Outputs the platform generates in response to your inputs belong to you, subject to our model providers' underlying terms. Our system prompts, harness, evaluation suites, dataset choices, code, brand, and assemblage of the platform itself belong to us, and your right to use them is the limited licence granted by these terms.
You grant us a non-exclusive licence to log requests and responses for the purpose of operating the service (debugging, abuse review, billing reconciliation, and the rolling 30-day error window). We do not use your traffic to fine-tune models. We do not sell your data. Our model providers' data policies apply downstream and are linked from each product page.
The boring but necessary part.
The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. We do our best, our uptime is published, but we do not promise the service is fit for any particular medical, legal, or safety-critical use. Do not use SoQ output as the only source of truth for high-stakes decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability to you under these terms in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including for fraud or wilful misconduct).
